ConnectED 2017Company News 17 October 2017
On Monday 9th & Tuesday 10th October, we held our debut partner conference, ConnectED.
The two-day event, held at the world-famous Belfry Luxury Hotel, saw over 130 of our most valued partners come together to celebrate our achievements, share experiences and lay the foundation for future success.
Sky TV’s Sasha Twining played host, inviting to the stage the very best in the business; from CTO, Nick Fryer and Chief Integrated Payments Officer, Baird Kleinsmith to Paymentsense CEO, Jed Rose. Following the keynote from the executive team, guests networked with our team, strengthening ties, encouraging collaboration and improving business opportunities.
Our interactive workshops educated partners on the full breadth of Connect’s capabilities with sales training, live demonstrations, technical deep dives and real-time integrations.
In the evening, we welcomed everyone back for the ConnectED Awards Ceremony. Having been a knockout year with Connect Cloud, we made a special effort to celebrate the top guns and high flyers within our own teams and our partners’.
On the morning of Tuesday 10th, Sasha welcomed our guests back for the final day of ConnectED. Well rested and raring to go, we kicked off with a panel discussion about best practices across the card payments and integration business.
From Connect Group Manager; Chintan Gandhi, Key Account Manager; Emma Pittarides and Sales Team Manager; Kerry Massey shared their experiences – good and bad, but ultimately honest.
Other members of the panel included Pierre Emmanuel Perruchot de la Bussiere from Vend, George Udea from Nobly POS and Gary Pilgrim from Microtill, giving their thoughts on industry best practices. The objective? To help partners maximise lead generation and boost conversion.
Baird Kleinsmith, re-emerged to share his vision for the future of Connect before Jed Rose stole the spotlight once more. The CEO gave us his closing thoughts and thanked everyone for coming down and supporting our first ever Connect partner conference.
After a final networking session, the moment we’d all been waiting for had finally arrived. With the sun beaming down on the Belfry’s lush green grass, we kicked off our ConnectED 18-hole Golf Tournament.
Getting into the swing of things in the early afternoon, our staff and our partners were teeing off by the early evening. At the end of the tournament, prizes were awarded to the top players as we settled down for some refreshments and the final end of ConnectED 2017.
With such a successful debut event, we’re looking forward to returning in 2018, bringing our expert team and our celebrated partners together in celebration of the past and anticipation of the future of integrated payments.
