Indeed, it is predicted that 25 per cent of the entire global advertising marketing will be internet-based by 2015 and an estimated $135 billion (£80.25 billion) is expected to be committed to digital marketing budgets this year.
Close to half of companies already implement a content marketing strategy and this figure can only increase as more and more firms begin to understand the benefits of this process.
According to the infographic, 33 per cent of all traffic from organic Google searches goes to the top-ranked listing – indicating the importance of ensuring your firm features as high as possible when a consumer is searching for terms or phrases relating to your industry.
WebDam also presents a series of statistics highlighting the ways in which companies are embracing social media, with budgets in this area set to double over the next five years.
Furthermore, it is shown that emails containing buttons allowing content to be shared socially have a 158 per cent better click-through rate than those without.
Contrary to what you might think, it is not just those dealing directly with consumers who can reap major benefits through content marketing, with the research revealing B2B firms that operate a blog generate 67 per cent more leads than those who do not.
