For the third year in a row, Paymentsense has been shortlisted by the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards. The card payments provider, which specialises in servicing independent businesses, is currently in the running for the Samsung Innovation Award.

The Innovation Award recognises companies that lead the way in innovative thinking and create a real-world impact. Paymentsense has done just that with their latest integrated payments solution, Connect.

Connect is a cloud-based technology enabling a seamless link between merchants’ EPoS and card processing systems. This helps boost profits, increase efficiency and improve the customer experience. Connect is also distributed through an innovative business model, using partnerships with EPoS providers to reach hundreds of thousands of UK merchants.

The awards ceremony will take place at Grosvenor House Hotel at Park Lane, London on Tuesday 14 November 2017. Last year’s winner of the Innovation Award was M Squared, a company using light to create advanced lasers for application in quantum physics.

This isn’t the first time the card payments company has been shortlisted three years in a row. Earlier this year, Paymentsense landed a place on The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track for the third year in a row. Tech Track is an annual award celebrating fast-growing UK tech businesses. Paymentsense also appeared as a finalist in the National Business Awards’ Amazon Digital Business of the Year Award last year. In 2015, the company won the UKTI Growth Business of the Year Award for their remarkable expansion across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Baird Kleinsmith, Chief Integrated Payments Officer at Paymentsense says, “It’s an absolute honour to be shortlisted for the Innovation Award. It’s great to see that our investment in Connect’s innovative technology and distribution model is already gaining industry recognition. We look forward to the awards ceremony and hope to be celebrating another win for shaking up the payments industry once more.”
